Friday Dec 9, 2011 - Sunday Dec 18, 2011 Renowned writer-composer-lyricist Leslie Bricusse has adapted the classic Charles Dickens tale, A Christmas Carol, into the hit musical Scrooge! The musical closely follows the classic story with the miserly Ebenezer undergoing a profound experience of redemption over the course of a Christmas Eve night, after being visited by the ghost of his former partner Jacob Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas past, present and future.

Toy Raffle
In conjunction with “Scrooge!”, we held a toy/collectibles raffle. One of the toys was a reproduction of a toy automobile, made in Dayton in 1902 by the DP Clark Toy Company. The reproduction was made and donated by Dick Cummings and Burt Saidel. Cummings and Saidel are active volunteers at Carillon Park and have worked on many of the restorations at the park. Other items in the raffle included a Breyer’s Winter Belle – 2011 Holiday Horse collectible donated by Dan Hall and a Victorian doll donated by Blue Turtle Toys.
We're thrilled to announce that we made $441.00 on our toy/collectibles raffle during Scrooge. The highest number of entries were cast for the car (141 entries) and the horse (121 entries). People seemed to have a good time with it and, since all of the items were donated, there was no cost. If anyone has an idea for a fundraiser to go along with our other shows, let’s talk about it. The main things to consider are what will be our cost in dollars, time and effort. As long as all of those are low, it doesn’t matter if we only make a few hundred dollars. It all helps.
Raffle winners:
- Car – Michelle Huffman
- Horse – Margo Fisher
- Doll – Denise Eder
- Book – Ruth Chandler
